Recycling

The recycling bins were transferred to the community council parking lot from today. The bins are being watched using  closed circuit video cameras.  Monitoring will be done via 2 Monitors in the community council as well as on mobile phones of members of the Konia Council. Anyone caught  throwing away inert materials and household garbage will be immediately reported to the police. It is hoped in this way that a permanent solution can be found to the problem that we have been experiencing during the last year.

Please note that

1. plastic bags should be emptied into the containers –not thrown in with the contents.
2. Green dot will empty the bins every Wednesday or Thursday. If the bins are full please tell the Council to arrange more frequent emptying.
3. More bins will be added in the future.
