Our Community and the Konia Community Council are actively involved in the ‘100,000 trees in Paphos’ citizens’ initiative, which was founded and consisted by of active citizens of the Paphos District and is intended to motivate local authorities, various public and private entities and civil society to facilitate or contribute to the implementation of a huge tree planting program that began in autumn 2019.
The aim is to plant 100,000 trees in the Paphos District but also to cultivate environmental awareness and integrate the natural environment within urban areas. Therefore, the aim of our initiative is to contribute to the local authorities ‘s efforts to raise citizens’ awareness of environmental issues!
To this end, Memorandum of Participation and Cooperation has already been signed between the two sides and 2 green points have already been designated to be used as part of this initiative.
